The Marble Mountains have long served as a spiritual center where Cham and Vietnamese beliefs intermingled, with caves, pagodas and shrines reflecting Buddhist and indigenous goddess worship. Their association with the five elements and their many temples make them a key site for understanding the religious syncretism of central Vietnam.
